Job summary

Sigma Foods is seeking a merchandising associate to stock Bar-S products at customer locations and maintain shelf standards. You will ensure accurate pricing and display promotional materials, protect shelf space for promotions, and deliver excellent customer service while building strong customer relationships.

You will also generate weekly to quarterly reports and perform other duties as assigned, including some evenings and weekends, in a cold environment and lifting up to 30 pounds as

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle as per company standards.
• Food handler's permit.
• MVR review by Talent & Culture.

• Ensure pricing aligns with current promotions and display promotional materials.
• Protect and gain shelf space by stocking bunkers and space for scheduled promotions.
• Provide excellent customer service and assess customer needs to recommend products.
• Maintain good working relationships with customers.
• Create weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Stock Hispanic Brands products at customers' locations in assigned locations.

Essential Job Functions

• Maintain store shelf standards and inventory through various merchandising strategies, including but not limited to rotation of products; ensure pricing matches current promotions and current marketing and promotional materials are displayed.
• Protect and gain merchandise shelf space for Bar-S products by stocking temporary bunkers and spaces for scheduled promotions; optimize brand presence in designated areas.
• Provide excellent customer service; assess the needs of the customer to best recommend products.
• Maintain excellent working relationship with customers.
• Create weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

License/Certifications

• Personal vehicle which meets company standards for licensing and insurance
• Food handler's permit
• Driver's License which meets company requirements
• MVR which meets Sigma driving standards with review by Talent & Culture

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in spanish and English

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA's)

Customer service skills including the ability to manage and respond to different customer situations while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude
Must demonstrate strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
Fully fluent in Spanish
Proven ability to motivate self and others
The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, present a professional demeanour, and work well independently

Environmental/Working Conditions

Able to work in a cold environment of approximately 34º F for prolonged periods of time
Availability to work some weekends and evenings
Can regularly lift and move 30 pound boxes/buckets on/off shelves or cart/hand-truck.
Can repeatedly twist, turn, kneel, stoop, stand, rotate, bend, push or pull to move 30 pounds.
