Job summary

ARES Solutions, Inc. is seeking an engineer to automate existing warehouses, evaluate current procedures, and implement software or COTS solutions to optimize storage, picking, and shipping label creation.

The role focuses on automating storage locations and pulling merchandise for orders, with responsibility for controlling automated equipment. The position is a long-term contract with a mix of onsite and offsite work in the Hampton Roads area, requiring collaboration across teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Experience automating warehouses.
• Experience evaluating current warehouse procedures and manual processes.
• Experience installing COTS or developing software to automate storage, location, and order fulfillment processes, including label creation and control of automated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Automate warehouse operations and optimize storage and retrieval of merchandise.
• Develop or integrate software to automate order fulfillment, shipping label generation, and equipment control for automated forklifts or similar systems.
