Job summary

U.S. Lumber, an SBP Brand, is seeking a 2nd Shift Warehouse Associate in Winder, GA. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, staging, order pulling, and maintaining safety and accuracy in a fast-paced warehouse.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, 1 year of warehouse experience, basic math, and computer literacy. Forklift experience is preferred; training on chainsaw and measurement tools will be provided. Competitive full-time benefits offered.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year warehouse distribution experience.
  • Forklift experience preferred but not required.
  • Basic math and analytical skills are essential.
  • Must be computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Team Lead/Shift supervisor experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts or other machinery to load, unload, move, and transport products.
  • Band, wrap, and tape product as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized warehouse work area and accurate location of items.
  • Collaborate with Supervisors and teammates to complete workload.
  • Provide accurate order pulling and assist with inventory variances.
  • Follow safety policies and perform daily forklift safety checks.
  • Read tickets and product codes; learn to use chainsaw and Holtec Saw.
  • Daily use tape measures and read measurements for jobs.

Description

U.S. Lumber, an SBP Brand, is currently looking for a 2nd Shift Warehouse Associate to join our VALUES based organization to responsible, at various points, for loading, unloading, sorting, staging, transporting and otherwise handling products that come into and move out of the warehouse.
Individuals in this position must work cooperatively with other Associates and productively with little supervision. Individuals must follow SBP's safetypolicies and procedures at all times.

Responsibilities and Essential Function

  • Safely operate forklifts or other machinery (chainsaw) in order to completeassigned tasks including loading and unloading, moving, staging, pulling ordersand transporting material.
  • Band, wrap, and tape product as needed.
  • Maintains condition of Warehouse work area, e.g. free of trash, product in correctlocation and organized, swept floors.
  • Work cooperatively and productively with Supervisors and other employees inorder to complete required work load.
  • Provide and inspire outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail, accuracy, quality and completing assigned work in a timely manner.
  • Assist with inventory variances, order accuracy and track and trace issues.
  • Follow SBP safety policies and procedures and encourage others to do the same. This includes performing daily forklift safety checklists.
  • Reading and understanding tickets and the various codes for products.
  • Must learn how to use a chainsaw and Holtec Industrial Saw.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure.
  • Accurately pull daily orders.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Required credentials:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one (1) year warehouse distribution experience.
  • Prior lumber experience desired. Engineered Lumber experience is preferred.
  • Forklift experience and forklift certification preferred, but not required.
  • Must have basic math and analytical skills.
  • Must be computer literate, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Team Lead/Shift supervisor experience is preferred.
  • Self-starter, pro-active and able to take initiative.
