Job summary

Specialty Building Products is seeking a warehouse associate to safely operate forklifts, pull daily orders, and maintain organized work areas in our Joppatowne, MD facility.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least one year in warehouse distribution; forklift experience is preferred. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical, 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one (1) year warehouse distribution experience.
• Engineered Lumber experience is preferred.
• Forklift experience and forklift certification preferred but not required.
• Must have basic math and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to load/unload, move, stage, pull orders and transport material. Band, wrap, and tape product as needed.
• Maintains condition of Warehouse work area, e.g. free of trash, product in correct location and organized, swept floors.
• Work cooperatively and productively with Supervisors and other employees in order to complete required workload.
• Provide and inspire outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail, accuracy, quality and completing assigned work in a timely manner.
• Assist with inventory variances, order accuracy and track and trace issues.
• Reading and understanding tickets and the various codes for products.
• Must be able to read a tape measure. Accurately pull daily orders.

• Maintains condition of Warehouse work area, e.g. free of trash, product in correct location and organized, swept floors.
• Work cooperatively and productively with Supervisors and other employees in order to complete required workload.
• Provide and inspire outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail, accuracy, quality and completing assigned work in a timely manner.
• Assist with inventory variances, order accuracy and track and trace issues.

Required credentials:

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Pay Rate $20.50/Hr. based on experience.
