Responsibilities:
- Shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials. Lifts up to 40 pounds and will operate a forklift. Bending, twisting, and lifting are frequent. Adheres to all safety, quality, and productivity standards. Assists in maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Manages items coming into the warehouse from production. Trains associates in basic work instructions for functional assignments and directs warehouse associate activities. Answer emails in an effective and timely manner.
- Acts as a SME for assigned work area. Trains employees on work process. Acts as an escalation point for novel problems.
- Demonstrates Zebra’s core values consistently and strongly. Is seen as a role model for others.
- Manages outbound orders in WMS system including task management.
- Monitors and ensures team adherence to operation procedures.
- Coordinates and communicates effectively across departments.
- Has the ability to run required daily reports and coordinate work strategies for all associates.
- Performs outbound staging and packing in accordance with site policies.
- Executes ERP system transactions on outbound and inbound shipments.
- Updates FMS for parcel and freight shipments.
- Learns to use handheld RF scanners and Warehouse Management System to fulfill orders.
- Maintains inventory accuracy.
- Handles and controls hazardous material on both inbound and outbound.
- Complies with 5S safety, housekeeping practices, and regulations.
- Completes all required safety training and follows protocol in all risk situations.
- Uses Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to tasks at hand.
- Lifts up to 75 pounds unassisted.
- Creates repair RMAs, manages receiving and shipment issues within repair systems. Develops familiarity with a subset of products, processes, operational metrics, and software tools; learns and follows basic work instructions for functional assignments according to productivity and quality standards.
- Provides input towards continuous improvement, work instruction documentation, and process standardization.
- Resolves basic problems of limited complexity under supervision and performs rudimentary analysis involving limited factors.
- Performs activities to evaluate and maintain equipment.
- Creates expense orders for internal repair consumption.
- Services customer products, including evaluating and validating customer complaints, troubleshooting, and reviewing repair history and contract entitlement.
- Creates work instructions, check sheets, or other process documentation.
- Trains associates in basic work assignments and shares learnings with the team.
- May obtain certification as an emergency responder and safety training (e.g., fire extinguisher use).
- Possesses full product knowledge within a subset of product families.
- Understands Lean Manufacturing concepts (e.g., waste types, cycle and takt time, Kanban, kaizen, FIFO, JIT, Poka yoke, line balancing).
- Performs work method analysis and develops best practices with standard work times.
- Develops ability to analyze data from reports to make business decisions related to workforce utilization.
- Develops accurate work method documentation and applies basic statistics concepts.
- Demonstrates safety leadership and leads by example in safety practices and emergency situations.
- Develops and implements corrective actions based on safety and 5S audits.
- Supports other department areas by understanding goals and aligning resources.
- Develops and delivers training content to associates.
- Assists logistics leaders with workload management and employee communication.
- Works on problems of moderate scope, modifies procedures, and may lead project teams.
- Resolves moderately complex problems, interprets information for varied audiences, and engages with stakeholders.
- Acts as a lead worker without formal supervisory responsibilities.
- Ensures compliance with ISO standards and external audits.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in warehouse activities
- Domestic Shipping experience
Preferred Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Knowledge and experience with international shipping
- Effective communication skills
- Strong job knowledge and training ability
- Proficient understanding of desktop use
- Ability to read and follow instructions
- Basic math skills
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Pallet jack experience preferred
- Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, warehouse management systems, and ERP system
