Job summary

Piedmont Plastics is hiring a Warehouse Associate for our Sioux Falls location. You will read orders, move materials, assemble shipments, and pack items for shipping, using a bar code system and forklift to manage inventory efficiently.

The ideal candidate has at least one year in a warehouse, a valid license, forklift experience, and a high school diploma. We offer industry-leading wages and a comprehensive benefits package in a growing industry.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Valid driver's license with no major moving violations.
• Minimum of one year experience driving a forklift.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to a maximum of 100 pounds.
• Stable work history of at least 9 months.
• Experience using a computer.
• A positive attitude and are a team player.

Responsibilities

• Read sales orders to determine items to be picked, packed and/or shipped
• Convey materials and items from receiving to storage racks or to other designated areas
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets, shelves, or conveys orders to packing station for shipping
• Use proper packing techniques for protecting products during shipping as noted in work instructions
• Utilize computer or bar code scanner to enter records, tack material and control inventory
• Drive forklift to transport material
• Responsible for general warehouse housekeeping and safe work habits
