Job summary

Motion Industries in Cedar Rapids, IA, is seeking a Warehouse Associate to handle all shipping and receiving for the branch. Under direct supervision, you will ensure the customer receives the correct items in a timely manner and all stocked merchandise is properly maintained.

Responsibilities include picking, packing, preparing orders for delivery, processing returns, maintaining MINO organization, and safely operating forklifts if certified.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Determine which items need to be picked, checked and shipped from sales orders.
• Pull orders and recheck them to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare items for delivery to customer.
• Secure packages to prevent damage during shipping.
• Prepare customer returns for shipment back to the Distribution/Fulfillment Center or supplier.
• Sort and organize materials according to product codes.
• Report damaged inventory to the warehouse supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
• May deliver items and obtain customer signatures.
• May process counter sales or invoices for customers.
• May operate a forklift if certified.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Enter received items into the computer system to show stock availability.
