JOB DETAILS

Base Pay $18 per hour

1st Shift Monday-Friday 7am-3pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but not limited directing the daily activities for coordinating shipments, trucks, trailers, processing paperwork, and interfacing with Customer Service Group. Must be flexible to ever changing priorities to accommodate customer demands

  • Train on paperwork for crates and vans
  • Train on paperwork and bills of lading
  • Interface with Customer Service Group regarding order shipments, receipts and shipping discrepancies
  • Confirm shipping logs daily
  • Responsible for accurate and timely data entry on all outgoing shipments
  • Accurately complete bills of lading and all paperwork for outbound and inbound loads
  • Ensure backorders and LTL’s are shipped on their scheduled day
  • Communicate shortages and missed orders, including LTL’s, to customer service immediately
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate directly with a customer when necessary
  • Train new and existing members of your team on departmental tasks
  • Perform warehouse maintenance and warehouse housekeeping
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required
  • Update daily, weekly, monthly and annual distribution center PIP charts and service reports
  • Print daily shipping memos and ship schedules
  • Assist with ordering and stocking of office inventory/supplies
  • Ensures drivers depart timely with correct and accurate paperwork
  • Coordinate daily trailer moves to and from the dock
  • Research shipments and trace as needed
  • Attend scheduled staff meetings with the Distribution Supervisor, when necessary
  • Perform basic duties of Warehouse Associate 2 at times, based upon ability and experience
  • Maintain an accurate time card daily and calculate on a weekly basis
  • Actively participate in all plant safety programs, depending on location

Qualifications:
Qualifications

  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of shipping process
  • Must be detailed oriented, possess good communication skills, and interact well with others
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
  • Office environment with exposure to warehouse, equipment noise, temperature extremes, and dust
  • Required personal protective equipment. General office tools, computer, copy/fax machine, printers, scanners and phone
  • Safe work performance is required from each Associate at all times
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in a safe manner in accordance with applicable policies
  • Required to wear or use personal protective **** equipment as applicable and to immediately report unsafe working conditions
  • Comply with all legislative requirements as outlined by Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations
  • Additionally, the proper discharge of safety responsibilities is an integral part of each Associate’s performance
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
