Role Purpose:

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for accurately processing incoming and outgoing shipments, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth operations within the warehouse. This role involves operating a forklift, safely managing and operating automated warehouse systems such as Laser Guided Vehicles, managing shipping materials, and coordinating with various departments.

Accountabilities & Impact:
  1. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team members.
  2. Identify and report any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  3. Participate in safety training programs and contribute to the development of safety initiatives to prevent accidents and injuries.
  4. Perform quality inspection of raw material and product using SOP's as a guide.
  5. Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify the accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipments.
  6. Correct product spills and clear blocked locations in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  7. Maintain pallet storage areas and ensure proper staging for LGV's to pick up.
  8. Correct LGV alarms and inspect trailers.
  9. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality assurance procedures to maintain product integrity and meet customer expectations.
  10. Safely operate a forklift to unload finished goods and raw material deliveries.
  11. Store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
  12. Supply production with non-inventory items (glue, bags, labels, etc.).
  13. Manually pull pallets from production as needed.
  14. Maintain files of shipping records and trace missing or lost shipments.
  15. Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials.
  16. Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
Skills & Experiences Needed:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of experience in warehouse environment (preferred).
  • Demonstrated and effective use of computer skills such as MS office, Teams, OneNote, and email.
  • Forklift experience (preferred). Must be willing to obtain forklift certification.
Working conditions:
  • Fast-paced and constantly changing work environment
  • Ability to work outdoors occasionally, exposed to the outside conditions, for short periods of time.
  • Subject to extreme temperatures
  • Shift work including days, evenings, overnight shifts, and up to 12 hrs.
  • Overtime including weekends and holidays as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand/move 8-12 hours per day.
  • Ability to ascend/descend stairs/ladders throughout shift.
  • Ability to work outdoors occasionally, exposed to the outside conditions, for short periods of time.
  • Ability to work around moving vehicles/robots.
  • Excellent hand / eye coordination including manual dexterity.
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including (but not limited to) bump cap, safety steel toe shoes and safety glasses.
  • Must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
