Job summary

White Cap is seeking a Shipping Clerk to assemble and prepare orders for shipment in a fast-paced environment in Connecticut. You will ensure proper labeling, packing, and invoicing while closely monitoring inventory and communicating shortages to the sales team.

The role commonly requires an HS Diploma or GED and 0–2 years of related experience. A forklift certification or experience is preferred, and the position is on-site with standard Monday–Friday hours.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and prepare orders for shipment.
• Ensure shipments have proper labeling and postal charges.
• Print daily receipts and verify data in the computer system.
• Notify management of product shortages to update the company website.
• Prepare inventory for shipment and label pallets.
• Create accurate invoices for shipments and ensure proper packaging.
• Track inventory and report shortages to sales.
• Collaborate with other shipping clerks to ensure timely processing of invoices and goods.
