Job summary

White Cap is seeking a Shipping Clerk to assemble orders and prepare goods for shipment in a fast-paced environment. The role involves labeling, invoicing, and ensuring accurate shipping documentation while maintaining inventory visibility.

The position requires physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, basic computer skills, and attention to detail. Typical hours are Monday–Friday, on-site in New Jersey, with potential forklift duties as needed.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• 0–2 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Assemble orders and prepare goods for shipment.
• Ensure shipments have proper labeling, postage, and packaging for safe arrival.
• Print daily sales receipts and cross-checks with the computer software for accuracy.
• Notify management of shortages to keep the company website updated.
• Prepare inventory for shipment; band and shrink wrap pallets and attach shipping labels.
• Assemble and fill boxes with items to be shipped.
• Prepare invoices for shipments and ensure all items are properly packaged and shipped.
• Track inventory and report shortages to the sales team.
• Coordinate with other shipping clerks to ensure timely processing and storage.
