Job summary

Midwest Kitchens in Erie, PA is hiring a full-time Second Shift Warehouse Associate to support our premium food service cook plant. The role includes loading/unloading shipments, working in freezers, packing finished products, and assisting with sous vide cooking.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and tolerate varying temperatures. Wage is $20.00 per hour, shift 2:00pm–10:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to meet physical requirements including heavy lifting, standing and walking throughout the shift, bending and twisting.
• Ability to work on wet or slippery surfaces and in varying temperatures.
• Ability to pass a pre-hire drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading shipments.
• Working in freezers and coolers to store and prepare raw meat.
• Proper preparation of raw meats.
• Sous vide cooking.
• Packing of the finished product.
• All other tasks as assigned by management.

Midwest Kitchens, in Erie, PA, is seeking to hire a full-time Second Shift Warehouse Associate to join our growing team. Midwest Kitchens is a premium food service cook plant that uses sous vide cooking to prepare various products for commercial kitchens. The Warehouse Associate will have an adaptable role in supporting the plant in many areas. The warehouse associate is essential to the company's success, from food preparations to packing, sanitation, and more.

Wage: $20.00

Shift: Monday through Friday, 2:00pm - 10:30pm

*** This position will require bending, stooping, twisting, reaching above, reaching across, using repetitive motion, heavy lifting, and the ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours daily. The Warehouse Associate will be exposed routinely to adverse temperatures, ranging from hot/warm, to cold 20-40° F, damp/wet, and freezing temperatures. In addition, this position requires the use of sharp cutting tools. ***
