Cardinal Health in West Valley City, UT is hiring a seasonal Flex Worker for warehouse operations. The pay rate is $21.06 per hour (includes shift differential). Scheduling is flexible and workloads may cap at 29 hours per week depending on business needs.

No warehouse experience is required—training starts on day one. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work in cold environments, and communicate clearly.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Comfort with temperatures in cold environments such as freezers or coolers.
• Ability to follow directions and adapt to changing priorities.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with technology, computers, or point-of-sale systems is a plus.

Schedule Details

• This is a seasonal Flex Worker position. Employment is expected to continue through [2/11/2026]. Individuals interested in continued employment may be considered for future opportunities as they become available.
• This role operates on a flexible schedule based on business volume. Flex workers are mainly used to support high-volume days, planned PTO coverage and high call-off periods. Available shifts may vary by location and week.
• Candidate will be required to work one mandatory shift per week that is scheduled in advance by the business (Sunday 6pm- 2:30 am). Any additional shifts may be selected by candidate
• Create a schedule that works for you by selecting available shifts throughout the week
• Days and hours per week are flexible based on your availability and business needs but will not exceed 29 hours per average on an ongoing basis.
• Once a shift is accepted, candidates are expected to work the full scheduled shift and adhere to standard attendance expectations.
• Receive shift opportunities, work updates, and important announcements directly to your mobile device
• Enjoy the flexibility to manage your schedule without traditional time-off requests
• Accepted shifts are worked until operational work is complete and may extend beyond the estimated end time.
• New hires may require completion of a 1-3 day onboarding ramp during the first week or first pay period. The onboarding schedule will be agreed during the job offer process based on site needs and new-hire availability.

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include receiving product, fulfilling, packaging, and shipping orders within established team goals to ensure on time order delivery.

Qualifications

We are open to candidates with little to no warehouse experience. If you are comfortable working in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment you could be a great fit for our team. All training is provided starting your first day!

• Ability to lift and carry, up to 50 pounds

• Ability to work in cold climates(I.e. freezer or refrigerator)
• Ability to follow direction and change priorities
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working with technologies, like computers or point of sale systems, a plus

Responsibilities

• Follow established process to fulfill orders. This includes accurately picking products, performing quality control checks, packing products, and preparing orders for shipment.
• Cross-training in multiple areas of the warehouse and participating in projects as needed.
• Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Willingness to train and be certified to drive material handling equipment as required by job duty. Example equipment in the facility includes order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider
