Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate supports warehouse operations, including receiving freight, checking for damages or shortages, distributing materials, filling orders, and maintaining inventory and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Receive and inspect incoming freight.
• Distribute materials to correct locations.
• Filling special orders/backorders.
• Coordinate with departments and carriers regarding discrepancies.
• Prepare and pack materials for delivery.
• Understand truck routes and coordinate deliveries.
• Maintain shipping equipment and work area safety.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and organization.
• Label and inventory managed materials accurately.
• Maintain delivery vehicle condition and logs.
• Operate equipment safely, adhering to regulations.
• Support warehouse operations and communicate inventory issues.

Non-essential Functions

• Assist customer service functions such as order entry and processing.
• Deliver materials to customer sites and assist with loading/unloading trucks.
• Report maintenance, repair, or security concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Preferred two years of work experience, including warehouse/distribution and forklift operation.
• Driving eligibility: at least 21 years old, valid driver's license, and possibly a medical certification.
• Knowledge of Windows, Internet, email, and SAP is a plus.
