Job summary

Cardinal Health’s Wheeling facility is hiring for Warehouse Operations roles to receive, store, and ship products. You will follow processes to fulfill orders, perform picking, packing, and shipping, and may operate material handling equipment after training. Shifts: Sunday, Monday and Thursday 8:30pm–2:30am.

Pay rate $18.80/hr and benefits include 401k, PTO, and wage-access option. No prior experience required; training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand for the entire shift and bend/reach.
• Flexible to work overtime as needed.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic proficiency in English to read/write documents.
• Experience with technology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow established process to fulfill orders.
• Pick products, perform quality checks, pack, and prepare shipments.
• Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas and assist with Projects as needed.
• Wear steel-toed boots as required.
• Work in cool temperatures during parts of the shift.
• Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks to keep a clean, safe environment.
• Be trained and certified to drive material handling equipment as required.

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers. No matter what you do at Cardinal Health, you make a difference. Our warehouse team members make it all happen. You will receive and fulfill orders so our customers can have the products they need to take care of their patients.

Responsibilities

• Follow established process to fulfill orders.
• This includes accurately picking products, performing quality control checks, packing products, and preparing orders for shipment.
• Cross-training in multiple areas of the warehouse and/or participating in projects as assigned by your manager or other management team member as needed.
• May be required to occasionally wear steel-toed boots in the warehouse while performing certain job duties.
• May be responsible for working in cold temperatures throughout segments of the shift.
• Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Willingness to train and be certified to drive material handling equipment as required by job duty. Example equipment in the facility includes order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift.
• Must be flexible to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to follow direction and change priorities.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting established performance quotas and attendance requirements.
• Experience working with technologies, like computers or point of sale systems, a plus.
• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Basic proficiency in English is required, including being able to read and write in English in order to process documents.
