Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support receiving, stocking and shipping in a fast-paced distribution environment. You will fulfill orders with accuracy, participate in cross-training across warehouse functions, and help maintain a clean, safe work area while meeting productivity standards.

Training on equipment like order pickers and forklifts is provided. Ideal candidates have basic English literacy, can lift up to 50 pounds, and are flexible to overtime.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
• Basic proficiency in English to read/process documents.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible to work overtime as needed.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow established process to fulfill orders with accuracy.
• Cross-training in multiple warehouse areas and participate in projects.
• Perform housekeeping and inventory control to maintain safety and cleanliness.
• Be willing to train and be certified to drive material handling equipment.
• Operate equipment such as order picker, forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider.

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers. No matter what you do at Cardinal Health, you make a difference. Our warehouse team members make it all happen. You will receive and fulfill orders so our customers can have the products they need to take care of their patients.

Responsibilities

• Follow established process to fulfill orders. This includes accurately picking products, performing quality control checks, packing products, and preparing orders for shipment.
• Cross-training in multiple areas of the warehouse and participating in projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfort working with heights 20-30 ft regularly
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift
• Must be flexible to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to follow direction and change priorities
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting established performance quotas and attendance requirements.
• Experience working with technologies, like computers or point of sale systems, a plus
• High School Diploma/GED preferred
• Basic proficiency in English is required, including being able to read and write in English in order to process documents.
