Job summary

Empire Auto Parts is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team in Norcross, GA. You will help receive, store, and distribute products, maintain inventory accuracy, and support a safe, organized warehouse environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, willingness to work in a fast-paced setting, and strong attention to detail. Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not required; forklift certification is a plus and training is provided.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving and inspection: Receive incoming shipments, inspect for accuracy, and document discrepancies.
  • Storage and organization: Safely store products in designated areas and maintain a well-organized warehouse.
  • Order picking and packing: Pick and pack customer orders with proper labeling for shipment.
  • Inventory management: Conduct regular counts and maintain stock records, reporting discrepancies.
  • Quality assurance: Ensure products are handled, stored, and shipped per standards.
  • Safety: Follow safety protocols and report any concerns or incidents.
  • Equipment operation: Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks and perform inspections.
  • Collaboration: Work with team to meet goals and resolve issues.

The responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and distributing products, maintaining inventory accuracy, and contributing to a safe and organized work environment

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Receiving and Inspection: Receive incoming shipments, inspect for accuracy, and document any discrepancies. Ensure all products are in good condition and report any damages or issues.
  • Storage and Organization: Safely and efficiently store products in designated areas, optimizing space utilization and maintaining a well-organized warehouse.
  • Order Picking and Packing: Accurately pick and pack customer orders, ensuring items are properly labeled and prepared for shipment.
  • Inventory Management: Perform regular inventory counts and maintain accurate records of stock levels. Identify and report discrepancies promptly.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high-quality standards by handling products with care and attention to detail. Ensure that products are handled, stored, and shipped in compliance with company standards.
  • Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to create a secure work environment. Report any safety concerns or incidents immediately.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and proficiently. Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments to meet production and shipping goals. Communicate effectively to resolve issues and ensure seamless operations.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 60 pounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.
  • Unafraid of heights up to 30 ft.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Driving: operation of forklifts or other motorized equipment, a valid driver's license and the ability to operate such equipment may be required.
  • Manual Dexterity: Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity are important for tasks such as inspecting products, handling small parts, and operating machinery.
  • Physical Endurance: The role may involve long hours and physically demanding tasks, so physical stamina and endurance are important.
  • Safety Awareness: must prioritize safety and be aware of potential hazards in the warehouse environment, taking necessary precautions to prevent accidents or injuries.
