Job summary

Empire Auto Parts is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support receiving, storage, and order fulfillment in our Peachtree Corners facility. You will inspect shipments, verify accuracy, and maintain organized stock. You will pick/pack orders, update inventory counts, and help ensure safe, efficient shipping operations.

The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to operate forklifts. Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not required; safety awareness is essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Receive shipments, inspect for accuracy, document discrepancies.
  • Store and organize products to optimize space.
  • Pick and pack orders with proper labeling for shipment.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy with regular counts.
  • Ensure safety and quality standards in handling and shipping.
  • Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely.

Overview

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Associate is a motivated and detail‑oriented individual who plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse. Responsibilities include receiving, storing, and distributing products, maintaining inventory accuracy, and contributing to a safe and organized work environment.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Receiving and Inspection: Receive incoming shipments, inspect for accuracy, document discrepancies, ensure all products are in good condition and report any damages or issues.
  • Storage and Organization: Safely and efficiently store products in designated areas, optimizing space utilization and maintaining a well‑organized warehouse.
  • Order Picking and Packing: Accurately pick and pack customer orders, ensuring items are properly labeled and prepared for shipment.
  • Inventory Management: Perform regular inventory counts, maintain accurate records of stock levels, identify and report discrepancies promptly.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high‑quality standards by handling products with care and attention to detail. Ensure that products are handled, stored, and shipped in compliance with company standards.
  • Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to create a secure work environment. Report any safety concerns or incidents immediately.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and proficiently. Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments to meet production and shipping goals. Communicate effectively to resolve issues and ensure seamless operations.
Required Skills and Abilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 60 pounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.
  • No fear of heights up to 30 ft.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures is a plus.
