Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials NA – Copper and Brass Division in Santa Teresa, NM is seeking a warehouse associate to perform sorting, stacking, cleaning, stocking and shipping of cartons, pallets, or parts to support daily operations.

You will operate cranes, forklifts and other material handling equipment, assist machine operators, and maintain a safe, organized floor around heavy machinery. A high school diploma and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Summary

In a warehouse environment, perform a variety of activities related to the storage and shipping of raw material and/or finished product in order to support the overall operation and exceed customer expectations.

Key Accountabilities:

• Perform sorting, stacking, cleaning, washing, stocking and inspection of cartons, pallets, or parts as assigned to support the operation.
• Assist in filling and packaging orders and completing paperwork according to instructions.
• Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment to move/deliver stock
• Assist machine operators with a variety of functions as required to support the operation.
• Perform general clean-up activities.
• Maintain all equipment in working condition; report issues or breakdowns to Supervisor or Lead immediately.
• Train others when required.
• Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements.
• This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.
