Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials NA seeks a warehouse associate to store and ship raw materials and finished products on the warehouse floor. You will support operations, meet customer expectations, and work with heavy equipment daily.

The role requires forklift certification, lifting up to 70 lbs, and basic math/reading skills; safety and reliability are essential. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 4–6 years warehousing experience in Metals industry.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. for 100 ft.
  • Lean and Quality Control experience.
  • Proficient reading, writing and math.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately remove and stock product according to inventory plan.
  • Select product to fill customer orders and package them properly.
  • Load and unload trucks and verify items loaded/unloaded.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for damages or shortages.
  • Perform cycle counts and quality checks.
  • Operate forklift and maintain safe work environment.

Your responsibilities
Job Summary

In a warehouse environment, perform a variety of activities related to the storage and shipping of raw material and/or finished product in order to support the overall operation and exceed customer expectations.

Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
  • Accurately remove and stock product, customer's product, and various supplies according to inventory plan
  • Accurately select product to fill customer orders and package them properly
  • Load and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded
  • Examines incoming shipments for damages or shortages
  • Picking, processing and packing orders, also may be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw
  • Cycle Counts
  • Identify, hold and segregate defective material
  • Complete paperwork per work instructions, when required
  • Perform general clean up
  • Inspect forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel
  • Participate, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements
  • Assist in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor
  • May provide leadership, coaching and/or mentoring to lower level employees
  • This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery

Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 4 - 6 years of warehousing experience - especially in Metals industry
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. for 100 feet
  • Lean and Quality Control experience
  • Proficient in reading, writing and math
  • Previous forklift certification and use of handheld measuring tools
  • Proficient in computer skills / knowledge such as database programs and MS Office
  • History of consistent dependable attendance
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions.
