Job summary

Core-Mark, a Performance Food Group Company, is hiring a Warehouse Worker to support shipping and receiving in our Indiana facility. This role involves general warehouse tasks, forklift operation, and maintaining safety and quality standards to ensure smooth, accurate distribution.

The position offers competitive pay ($19.75 per hour), comprehensive benefits from Day 1, and opportunities for growth within a nationwide distribution network. Shift is Sunday through Thursday starting at 2pm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• Must be able to work the scheduled times and required overtime.
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
• Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products weighing 10-35 lbs and up to 60-90 lbs depending on location.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Performs general warehouse duties including forklift put-away, let-downs, will-call selection, returns, sanitation, break down pallets, wrapping pallets, order selection, loading, and receiving.
• Keeps warehouse area, loading dock and trailers clean and safe; reports unsafe conditions.
• Performs daily safety check of the assigned forklift/pallet jack.
• Performs damage checks on items received and flags items per policy.
• Replaces batteries and completes vehicle inspection checklist.
• Reviews work schedule and production paperwork for operations.
• Wears required PPE and safety gear.
• Meets productivity and accuracy standards per location.
• Seeks to secure equipment and complete paperwork.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Details

• Pay: $19.75 per hour
• Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 2pm start time

Position Purpose

Warehouse associates are the foundation to our company's success. They work actively, safely, and independently to maintain the efficient flow of products through our distribution process, while ensuring quality standards. As a Warehouse, Worker, you will support the shipping and/or receiving functions activities within our warehouse.

The Warehouse, Worker performs shipping and/or receiving functions in a timely manner while maintaining inventory and warehouse work areas, observing all safety regulations, and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to

• Performs general warehouse duties as assigned including but not limited to forklift put-away, let-downs, will-call selection, returns, sanitation, break down pallets, wrapping pallets, order selection, loading, and receiving.
• Performs general housekeeping duties and keep warehouse area, loading dock and trailers clear and clean as required. Ensures work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.
• Performs daily safety check of the assigned forklift/pallet jack in accordance with company policy.
• Performs damage control checks on items received and contact supervisor about removing items according to company policy.
• Removes batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries and complete vehicle inspection checklist. Follows all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines.
• Reviews work schedule and daily production paperwork and prepare for operations.
• Puts on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
• Meets required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
• Secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift
• Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location, throughout shift
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e., cooler, freezer and dry
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check

Preferred qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
• 1+ years of warehouse and/or distribution work experience
• 6+ months of experience operating a forklift and/or pallet jack
• Foodservice distribution or related industry experience
