Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• 2 years of previous warehouse experience is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery.
• Able to lift up to 50 lb frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 35 lb.
• Some client locations require a current valid driver’s license. If this is required, an MVR will be run as part of your pre-employment screening process.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect products, label items and report discrepancies in deliveries and invoices.
• Organize and store incoming products, applying FIFO inventory controls for perishables.
• Train and operate pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and/or forklifts as needed.
• Pick inventory to assemble orders for requisitions or par levels.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures to meet accuracy and production standards.
• Load, unload and transport products to different areas or client locations; may use carts or powered industrial vehicles.
• Conduct routine physical inventory counts based on location schedules.
• Complete administrative duties including inventory count documents, temperature and spoilage logs, equipment inspections, etc.
• Clean work areas including restrooms, break areas, loading dock and other areas as applicable.
• Implement location safety policies, OSHA requirements, SDS standards, and emergency procedures with PPE.
• Interact with clients, employees, vendors, customers, and guests about business activities and attend meetings as required.
