Job summary

Aramark is hiring a Warehouse Worker for the Indianapolis Zoo in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves receiving, labeling, and stocking products, preparing orders, and maintaining inventory and safety standards.

You will operate pallet jacks or forklifts and follow SOPs to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities include conducting regular inventory counts, documenting records, and moving items across the facility.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• High school education or equivalent is preferred.
• 2 years of previous warehouse experience is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery.
• Able to lift up to 50 lb frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 35 lb.
• Some client locations require a current valid driver’s license (MVR may be required).

Responsibilities

• Receiving and inspecting products, labeling items and reporting discrepancies.
• Organizing and storing incoming products using FIFO inventory controls for perishables.
• Operate pallet jacks and forklifts as required.
• Picks inventory to assemble orders for requisitions or par levels.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures to meet accuracy and production standards.
• Move products and materials to various areas of the warehouse or client locations.
• Conduct routine physical inventory counts.
• Complete administrative duties such as inventory counts and logs.
• Maintain clean work areas and adhere to safety policies and PPE usage.
• Ensure security of client and company assets.
• Interact with clients, employees, vendors, customers, and guests as needed.
