Job description

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for entire shipping process of orders that have been picked and ready to pack.
  • Ensure orders are properly fulfilled, committed to work safety and customer satisfaction.
  • Accurately pack and ship various sized products to meet customer expectations.
  • Determine method of shipment using shipping software.
  • Create shipping labels with multiple ship software platforms.
  • Maintain clean work area.
  • Meet minimum daily shipping output expectations.
  • Comply with all quality standards and policies.
  • Assemble cardboard containers for shipping.
  • Properly fill containers with void fill to protect product.
  • Examine shipment to ensure shipment specifications are met.
  • Assist in store/warehouse (stock, parts pulling, etc.) as assigned.
  • Maintain and promote workplace safety.
  • Secure and transfer cash or other assets.
Requirements
  • Ability to read product identification quickly and accurately.
  • Act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills; effective, professional, with tact and diplomacy.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Meet assigned deadlines.
  • Accurately follow directions, both written and verbal.
  • Maintain individual productivity and quality standards according to department requirements.
  • Regularly lift, push, pull and/or move objects 10–50 lbs; occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 100 lbs.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach.
  • Occasionally required to sit and climb (ladders and/or stairs) or balance.
  • May be subject to environmental conditions; protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
  • May be required to function in narrow aisles or passageways.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus.
  • Attention to detail.

  • Must be able to work well with other staff members and supervisors.
  • Must have an open availability, flexible and able to work various shifts and overtime.
  • 1–2 years warehouse experience preferred.
  • Previous internet shipping experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with safety measures in a warehouse.
  • Experience working with carrier ship method to ship small parcel packages.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime as needed preferred.
  • Arrive on time and ready to work.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
