Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in Fullerton, CA, seeks a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to expedite work orders through the manufacturing process and inform on order status. The role supports production schedules, stocking raw materials, and inventory control, with a defined 8:00 am – 6:00 pm shift.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year in shipping/receiving, a Class C license, and basic computer skills, plus familiarity with QAD/Oracle. ITAR compliance is required for this position.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ years of experience in a shipping and receiving role, preferably in aerospace or manufacturing.
  • 1+ year of delivery driver experience.
  • Class C Drivers License.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Experience in packing and shipping and knowledge of QAD and Oracle.
  • Able to pull work orders, manage dormant inventory, and pack finished goods per S-71117.
  • US work authorization; ITAR compliance required.

  • Follow up on special requests to ensure communications and identify anticipated delays in resources.

  • Use forklift, flat bed truck, and other transportation within and outside the facility.

Shift

8:00 am - 6:00 pm

Job Responsibilities
  • Receiving and stocking all raw materials
  • Moving raw materials throughout the manufacturing process as needed to maintain production schedules.
  • Review production schedule, schedule change notices, and reports or records of the status of work orders to identify any production delays.
  • Follow up on special requests or work orders from production supervisors to support departments to ensure communications of such requests, and to identify anticipated or actual delays in the delivery of resources or support services to production department.
  • Perform physical counts of products/components in the manufacturing process or in storage as needed to assist in inventory audits.
  • Use forklift, flat bed truck, and/or other transportation means for moving material within and outside of the facility.
Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in a shipping and receiving role, preferably in an aerospace or manufacturing environment
  • 1+ year of delivery driver experience
  • Class C Drivers License
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Understand use of fork life, order picker
  • Knowledge on scale counting
  • Experience in packing and shipping
  • Knowledge on QAD and Oracle
  • Able to perform assigned duties such as pull work order, dormant inventory and packing finished goods per S-71117
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Compensation

$20.00 - $24.50 per hour
