Job summary

Interstate Batteries is seeking a Warehouse Team Member I to accurately process distribution center tasks using RF scanning devices, forklifts, pallet jacks, and WMS systems. You will handle receiving, transfers, picks, packs, and ships while maintaining a safe, clean warehouse and complying with safety protocols.

No experience required; candidates with warehouse exposure and capability with basic computer systems are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High school graduate
• Written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills
• No experience required; experience in warehouse operations preferred
• Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Accurately process system and manual transactions (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• Load and unload batteries
• Restock batteries
• Charge, clean, date and rewrap rotations
• Charge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment
• Accurately maintain warehouse reporting and claims
• Operate a forklift and maintain a current certification
• Properly tag pallets (for transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• General warehousing duties (such as restocking shelves and housekeeping of assigned areas)
• Ability to multi-task and/or quickly transition from one function/task to the next function/task
• Other warehouse duties as assigned by warehouse distributor management
