Job summary

Interstate Batteries is seeking a Warehouse Team Member I to accurately complete distribution center tasks using RF barcode scanning devices and various material handling equipment. Responsibilities include loading/unloading batteries, restocking, packing, shipping, and maintaining safety in a fast-paced warehouse.

The role requires high school completion and strong communication, organization, and accuracy. Prior warehouse experience is helpful but not required; overtime may be necessary.

Qualifications

• High school graduate required.
• Written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
• No experience required.
• Experience in warehouse operations preferred, including RF/HH equipment, forklift, electric pallet jack and stretch-wrap machine.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process system and manual transactions (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship).
• Load and unload batteries.
• Restock batteries.
• Charge, clean, date and rewrap rotations.
• Charge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries.
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment.
• Accurately maintain warehouse reporting and claims.
• Operate a forklift and maintain a current certification.
• Tag pallets (for transfer, pick, pack, ship).
• General warehousing duties (restocking shelves, housekeeping).
• Ability to multi-task and transition between tasks.
