Job description

YOUR CHALLENGES

1. Possess comprehensive knowledge of the outbound distribution strategy as outlined in this job description.
2. Learn and operate the SAP WMS system related to job functions.
3. Understand warehouse layout and bin sequencing to navigate efficiently and follow picking strategies.
4. Comprehend the finished good barcode strategy; select requested materials using RF scanners and barcodes to ensure order accuracy.
5. Operate lift trucks, pallet jacks, or hand trucks to load/unload trucks and move products within the warehouse.
6. Inspect stock and outgoing shipments to meet specifications.
7. Package products properly using appropriate fill, cartons, and skids.
8. Affix shipping labels and verify addresses for accuracy.
9. Determine shipment methods and coordinate with carriers.
10. Calculate shipping fees and record shipment details, including value and destination.
11. Sort parcels for shipment, prepare dealer orders for pickup, and organize shipments by destination.
12. Count items for inventory to ensure compliance with company standards.

YOUR EXPERTISE

1. High school diploma or GED; or equivalent experience (minimum one year related experience or training).
2. Thorough knowledge of all company products.
3. Adherence to safety, inventory control policies, and regulations.
4. Safe operation of vertical lift mechanisms; responsible for warehouse security.
5. Ability to read and interpret safety and operational documents.
6. Basic writing skills for simple correspondence.
7. Effective communication skills for one-on-one and group interactions.
8. Mathematical skills for measurements, rates, ratios, and data interpretation.
9. Ability to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form and solve problems involving multiple variables.
10. Valid forklift certification.
11. Computer literacy.
12. Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and over 100 pounds occasionally, with vision and mobility requirements.
13. Awareness of environmental conditions, with accommodations available for disabilities.
14. Exposure to mechanical parts, airborne particles, fumes, chemicals, with moderate noise levels.
