Job Title : Warehouse Associate I
Location : Canton OH 44706
Pay rate: $17/hr. on W2
Shift : 7 AM Till 3 PM (Mon-Fri)
Duration: 3 Months
Position Summary:
The Warehouse Associate I is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations including unloading trucks, stacking and organizing products (primarily tires), picking and staging orders, and operating powered industrial vehicles. This is a physically demanding role in a fast-paced environment, requiring the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and follow instructions with a high degree of reliability and safety awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
Load and unload delivery trucks; stack and move products (up to 50 lbs) throughout the shift.
Operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers) safely; maintain valid operator certification if required.
Pick and stage materials accurately to fulfill orders.
Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy in size, quantity, and type.
Report and document damaged or outdated inventory, over/under shipments, and return products to vendors.
Organize warehouse stock by product line and alignment, allowing space for overflow.
Assist in periodic inventory counts and notify management of inventory shortages.
Perform general maintenance and custodial tasks, including cleaning warehouse floors, loading docks, bathrooms, and surrounding areas.
Support daily closing of warehouse operations and related administrative tasks.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Experience: Previous warehouse or manual labor experience preferred; ability to work under general supervision.
Other Requirements:
Must own steel-toe shoes for safety compliance.
Must be punctual and reliable from day one.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and moderate noise levels.
