Job summary

Caterpillar’s Atlanta Distribution Center is seeking Warehouse Associates to join our team. You will safely handle materials, use scanners, and support the receiving, storing, packing, and shipping of parts and supplies.

Training on cherry/order pickers, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, and cranes is provided, with emphasis on reliability and attendance. Requirements include at least 1 year in a warehouse, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and English literacy.

Responsibilities

Caterpillar’s Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is seeking talented Warehouse Associates at our Atlanta Distribution Center.

• At least 1 year of current warehouse experience
• At least 1 year in consecutive employment in previous roles

What You Will Do

• Safely perform the material handling and warehousing processes required in the receiving, processing, storing, moving, packing, and shipping of parts, materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Operate handheld scanner to access and update information for receiving, counting and order processing.
• Willingness to be trained on and operate cherry/order pickers, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, and overhead cranes/hoists, as well as all other tasks in the operation.
• Keep in mind, not all available positions operate equipment
• Report defects and need for repairs.
• Utilize pneumatic tools and/or power tools to build and construct wooden shipping containers
• Utilize tools for the application of paint and rust preventative
• Perform housekeeping functions as required
• Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time
• Reliability is important, be on time and maintain a good attendance record to safely and efficiently meet the needs of the customer

Experience

• Demonstrated longevity of at least one year with previous employers.
• At least one year of current warehouse work.
• Agility: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds individually, walk, sit, stand, squat, and bend over repetitively, throughout your shift with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Base wage is $20.60/hour (paid weekly)
• Night shift premium of $1.50/hour for 2nd and 3rd shift
• 11% hourly premium for Alternative Work Schedule shifts (1A, 1B, 2A, 2B)

• 5 Day Schedules
• First Shift: 5:00am-1:30pm, Monday - Friday
• Second Shift: 1:00pm-9:30pm, Monday - Friday
• Third Shift: 9:00pm-5:30am, Sunday -Thursday
• 3 Day Schedules
• 1B: Thursday-Saturday 3:00am-3:30pm
• 2A: Sunday-Tuesday 3:00pm-3:30am
• 2B: Wednesday-Friday 3:00pm-3:30am
• Other Shifts That Could Become Available:
• 1A: Monday-Wednesday 3:00am-3:30pm

Summary Pay Range

$20.00 - $24.90
