Job summary

Core-Mark International in Tampa, FL is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support our food distribution operations. You will work in freezer/cooler areas with temperatures ranging from 36°F to -10°F and handle product, packing orders, and maintaining safety standards.

The shift is Sunday through Thursday at 2:30 PM. Pay is $20 per hour, with day-one benefits, stock purchase options, 401(k) matching, and opportunities for growth within our distribution network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months of warehouse/distribution experience.
• Must have freezer/cooler experience.
• Must be able to work scheduled hours and overtime.
• Able to lift 10–35 lb and up to 60–90 lb as needed.
• Must be able to work in freezer/cooler (36°F–-10°F).
• Forklift operation and Electrical-Pallet Jack certification required.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve and stock products in the warehouse and monitor inventory.
• Direct, stock, and replenish products as needed.
• Pack orders and apply shipping IDs to items.
• Maintain orderly work area and return supplies to locations.
• Record materials and inventory levels.
• Follow safety policies and company guidelines.
• Identify and report unsafe conditions immediately.

Position Purpose:

Warehouse associates are the foundation to our company's success. They work actively, safely, and independently to maintain the efficient flow of products through our distribution process, while ensuring quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

• The Full Case retrieves product, stacks orders for delivery, and monitors inventory levels within the warehouse. Directs, stocks, selects, and replenishes products.
• Retrieves product in accordance with printed customer orders and packing products.
• Restocks order selection zones as necessary and consolidating merchandise. Stacks orders securely according to sequence of delivery route.
• Applies shipping ID labels to products and completing paperwork related to inventory process.
• Maintains orderly workstation; returns supplies and merchandise to assigned locations.
• Records materials and inventory levels.
• Follows all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines.
• Ensures work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
• 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience
• Must have previous Freezer/Cooler experience
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position
• Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location, throughout shift
• Must work in freezer and cooler environment, temperature can range from 36°F (2°C) to -10°F (-23°C)
• Able to get certified in forklift operation and Electrical-Pallet Jack
