Vistar in Portland, OR is seeking a warehouse associate to select cases and other containers of food and non-food products, pack orders, and prepare shipments using an electric pallet jack and forklift. You will help maintain safety and quality standards while keeping workflow efficient.

Work involves Sunday-Thursday with shift starts at 1pm or 3pm, finishing upon daily volume. Day 1 benefits, a $2,000 sign-on bonus, and incentive pay are available to eligible employees.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED
• Able to work scheduled times and overtime as required
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout shift
• Able to lift and stack product between 10-80 lbs occasionally throughout shift
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry)
• Pass pre-employment drug test

Responsabilidades

• Follow all safety policies and procedures; keep work area safe and report unsafe conditions.
• Review work schedule and prep supplies; perform safety checks on pallet jack/forklift; wear PPE.
• Meet productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
• Place pallets on pallet jack; operate along multi-level racks; locate products per order sheets.
• Move stock from slots to pallets; use single/double pallets as directed.
• Transport completed orders to shipping dock; shrink-wrap pallets for staging if required.
• Replace charged batteries and complete vehicle inspection; secure equipment at shift end.

Schedule

Sunday-Thursday

Sunday Start: 1pm-Finish

Monday-Thursday Start: 3:00pm

Shift end when daily work is completed; end times may vary based on volume.

Position Summary

Select cases and other containers of food and non-foods products to fill customer orders from multi-level rack warehouse storage systems. Items are placed on pallets and completed orders are moved to the loading dock staging area with an electric pallet jack/forklift, wrapped, labeled and readied for shipment in a timely manner observing all safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company.

Position Responsibilities

1. Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines. Ensure work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.
2. Review work schedule, obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations. Perform a safety check on pallet jack/forklift to be used and insure that all other safety devices are functioning properly. Put on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
3. Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
4. Place pallets on pallet jack and operate along assigned multi-level racks and locate products according to order sheets.
5. Manually place the appropriate stock items on pallet from pick slots and racks as required. Use single and/or double pallets as directed.
6. Transport completed palletized customer order to shipping dock staging area. May be required to shrink-wrap pallet for staging.
7. Remove batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries, or attach re-charger and complete vehicle inspection checklist. At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
8. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout shift
• Able to lift and stack product between 10-35 pounds and up to 80 pounds occasionally throughout shift
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e. cooler, freezer and dry
• Pass pre-employment drug test
