Job summary

Building Products Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support our warehouse operations in Evansdale, IA. You will pick orders, stage shipments, and help load deliveries using scanners.

The role is fast-paced and hands-on, with an emphasis on accuracy and safety. Trainings provided for forklift operation; responsibilities include inventory checks, equipment inspections, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification required (in-house training provided).
• Tech-savvy with ability to learn scanning systems.
• Safety-first mindset and PPE compliance.
• Comfort working in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Order Picking & Staging – Accurately pick products for deliveries and stage them using scanners.
• Forklift Operation – Operate a forklift consistently to load and replenish products (training & certification provided).
• Loading & Securing Freight – Properly secure products using banding or plastic wrap to ensure safe transportation.
• Inventory Management – Assist with inventory checks, cycle counts, and using scanners for real-time updates.
• Equipment & Safety Compliance – Conduct daily forklift inspections and follow all safety protocols, including PPE requirements.
• Facility Upkeep – Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including replenishing stock and assisting with general warehouse tasks.
• Cross-Training – Gain experience in different areas of the warehouse to support team operations.
