Job summary

Methode Electronics is seeking a Warehouse Clerk to handle material receiving, inspection for damage, stocking, and shipping within the warehouse. Responsibilities include unloading carrier trucks, maintaining FIFO inventory, ensuring shipping documents match materials, and preparing shipments for customer pick‑up.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of general work experience, ability to read and write English, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of general work experience.
• Must be able to read English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual.
• Must be able to write routine reports and communicate in English.
• Ability to learn to operate powered lift trucks and other material movers.
• Ability to work independently.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Unload carrier trucks
• Maintain First In, First Out (FIFO) inventory system
• Ensure all counts and shipping documents accurately represent material and product being shipped and received before signing
• Sort and place materials in predetermined storage locations in the warehouse or plant
• Pull inventory and prepare shipments for customer pick‑up
• Report material shortages to purchasing agent
• Accurately record during physical inventories
• Comply with all safety rules, policies and procedures, maintain neat and orderly work areas
• Other duties as assigned
