Job summary

Dollar General, located in Bethel, PA, seeks a Warehouse Associate to handle merchandise expediently and accurately within the distribution center. You will support all warehouse areas as needed and contribute to safe, productive operations.

Responsibilities include moving items by hand or forklift, verifying receipts, labeling and palletizing, replenishing pick zones, and picking/packing orders for shipment while upholding safety standards. Multiple shifts available.

Qualifications

• Communication skills sufficient to communicate with co-workers, understand and provide directions, and respond to inquiries.
• Basic knowledge of simple math concepts.
• Ability to use a Radio Frequency Unit.
• Ability to learn basic use and operation of motorized merchandise movement equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience working in an automated distribution center preferred.
• Experience with warehouse management systems applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Moves incoming or outgoing merchandise through the distribution center by hand, hand truck, or forklift.
• Checks, verifies and audits merchandise to ensure correct receipt and condition; enters data into a remote terminal.
• Identifies, separates, labels, and palletizes merchandise onto flats.
• Replenishes pick areas as identified by reports and requests.
• Fills merchandise orders from stores by selecting and moving merchandise to the conveyor.
• Loads outgoing merchandise into trailer from conveyor or truck.
• Reports damages and vendor issues to supervisor and resolves discrepancies with supervisor.
