Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator (Easton, PA)

We seek a Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator committed to safety, attendance excellence, and forklift operations to join our Easton, PA team!

Responsibilities:

• Loading & unloading pipe from flatbed trucks.
• Operates forklift to pick up and transport heavy inventory around the warehouse.
• Maintains forklift by completing preventive maintenance. Report any malfunctions, insufficiencies, or necessary repairs through the relevant channels.
• Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
• Ensure the warehouse area is clean and organized, and that all safety procedures are being followed at all times.
• Inspects all shipped and received products, reporting defective or damaged items.
• Band, wrap, and tape product as needed.
• Maintains the condition of the warehouse work area, i.e., keeping it free of trash, keeping products in the correct location, and organizing and sweeping floors.
• Work cooperatively and productively with Supervisors and other employees to complete the required workload.
• Assist with inventory variances, order accuracy, and track and trace issues.
• Follow United Pipe & Steel safety policies and procedures which include performing daily forklift safety checklists /inspections.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements and qualifications:

• Sit-down forklift experience preferred.
• Previous experience working in a distribution warehouse environment.
• This position requires considerable physical activity, including standing for prolonged periods, reaching, bending repeatedly, lifting, pushing, and pulling safely up to 50 pounds.
• Be willing to work in all weather conditions.
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which is required in designated areas.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
