Job Purpose

The purpose of the Warehouse Associate Driver is to deliver product in a safe and timely manner. Performs a variety of warehouse tasks efficiently, safely and accurately to ensure customer service excellence.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

1. Delivers specified product to various locations in a safe and efficient manner by driving short and long distances during the day
2. Coordinates with management for safe and efficient delivery routes
3. Verifies with the customer at delivery that the correct product was delivered in satisfactory condition
4. Performs loading and unloading of trucks, as needed
5. Maintains all required certifications required by DOT, OSHA, and company safety programs
6. Ensures all required paperwork, including shipping and Hazmat paperwork, is accurately completed and on hand
7. Performs pre and post truck inspections
8. Maintains truck maintenance records
9. Notifies management of safety issues with company vehicles
10. Verifies, receives, and stores incoming stock
11. Pulls, packs, stages, and ships outgoing orders and transfers
12. Assists customers with orders and processing returns of warranty and stock items
13. Operates handheld scanners for inventory management
14. Assists with inventory accuracy, including cycle counts and physical inventory
15. Maintains cleanliness of warehouse and common areas
16. Participates in after-hours training classes
17. Works overtime as assigned
18. Works cooperatively with others
19. Complies with all company policies and procedures
20. Maintains regular, punctual, and reliable attendance

Physical and Environmental Requirements

Standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, talking, hearing, tasting, smelling. Lift/move up to 60 pounds. Work environments may vary from cold to hot temperatures. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement, if needed
• At least 1 year of driving delivery trucks
• At least 1 year of forklift and warehouse experience
• Customer service experience preferred
• Proficient in computer and inventory systems preferred
• Must be 21 years of age
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
• Qualify for and remain insurable under company insurance
• Eligible to drive under federal and state regulations

Travel Requirement

0% travel to branches; some travel for industry conferences and training with potential overnight stays.
