Job Summary

The Driver serves as a representative of Baker Distributing, crucial to both our operations and customer satisfaction. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of products to our customers, maintaining professionalism and exceptional customer service. The role also involves daily delivery and transportation of HVAC goods and materials from our wholesale HVAC distributorships to customers, vendors, or other Sales Center locations, as well as warehouse maintenance and operation between deliveries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Represent Baker Distributing as an industry leader.
2. Load and unload products daily for delivery.
3. Collect invoices with signatures and report to the Sales Center Manager.
4. Assist with inventory counts, order picking, and verification.
5. Maintain daily truck maintenance checklists and report in/out times and merchandise returns.
6. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of truck driving experience.
• Experience with Box Truck delivery.
• Clean driving record with no recent restrictions, suspensions, or DUI convictions.
• Current DOT Physical card required before employment.
• Ability to pass DOT physical examinations.
• CDL license is highly desirable.
• Warehouse experience, including forklift or appliance lift operation, is a plus.
• Effective communication skills with customers.
• Willingness to learn and grow with the company.
• Must be 21 or older.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
