Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual passionate about completing tasks and exceeding daily goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for transferring products with a forklift within the warehouse and to other storage areas or departments. They will also manage the accurate and timely transportation of materials to work sites or warehouses using various vehicles such as box trucks, stake bed trucks, or sprinter vans. Effective communication with the warehouse team and other departments is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate overhead cranes to move materials and load/unload trucks
• Tag pallets for shipment
• Organize and load truck shipments safely and efficiently, including in confined spaces
• Operate pallet jacks or forklifts safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Check shipments against emails and packing slips for accuracy
• Monitor schedules for changes in shipping or orders
• Follow all safety and operational procedures in the warehouse
• Provide high-quality customer service to all departments
• Cross-train in all warehouse areas

Supervisory and Communication Responsibilities

This is an individual contributor role. The employee is responsible for internal and external communication with colleagues and vendors.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to manage and prioritize shipping, receiving, and dock responsibilities
• Accurate shipment checking skills
• Sense of urgency and proactive approach
• Effective communication skills with team and other departments

Experience and Educational Requirements

• Previous warehouse experience required
• Experience with shipping, receiving, and inventory control
• Ability to operate a sit-down forklift
• Ability to work independently

Physical Demands

The physical requirements are typical of a delivery driver, including safely lifting up to 50 lbs.
