Job summary

Cape Electrical Supply in Somerset, KY is seeking a Warehouse Associate to receive, store, pick, pack, and distribute inventory. This role may include occasional delivery driving using a light vehicle.

Candidates should be able to lift and move items, operate warehouse equipment, and keep the facility orderly and safe. Typical shift is Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm, with compensation starting at $15.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, select, pack, and distribute warehouse inventory.

• Unload delivery vehicles, identify materials, and note discrepancies.
• Store and pick products according to outlined processes; light packing may be required.
• May perform occasional delivery driving to fulfill customer orders.

Typical Functions

• Perform any and all physical requirements necessary to lift and move inventory around the warehouse.
• Operate and maneuver warehouse equipment and any material(s) contained thereon in the manner consistent with the intended purpose of the equipment and the manufacturers’ instructions.
• Maintain the warehouse in an orderly and clean state; follow all Company safety procedures; perform daily safety inspections.
• Unload delivery vehicles, accurately identifying material, breaking down material, and noting discrepancies.
• Accurately store product to the proper location following the outlined process; the use of light equipment may be required.
• Select and pack customer orders following the outlined process; ensure conformance to customer standards and expectations.
• May perform Delivery Driver duties as needed; operate a light van or delivery vehicle to deliver customer orders; ensure that customers orders are delivered to meet customer expectations.

The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $15.00 per hour depending on experience.

Additional Information

• Steel toed boots required.
• CDL not required, but must pass DOT medical exam.
