Job summary

Meier Supply is seeking Warehouse Associates/Delivery Drivers to coordinate receipt, storage, and delivery of HVAC/R products. This role supports a 65+ year strong culture rooted in core values and employee ownership through ESOP.

Responsibilities include warehouse operations, loading/unloading, and delivering orders to customers. A valid driver’s license and driving experience are required, with forklift certification preferred. Work is performed at our distribution center locations.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record.
• Ability to obtain DOT medical card within 90 days of employment.
• 1+ year of delivery driving or warehouse experience.
• Forklift certification preferred but not required.
• Attendance record must be exemplary in prior positions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and participate in receipt, storage, loading, unloading, and inventory of HVAC/R products.
• Ensure proper orders and transport items are delivered safely to customers.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety; prepare and stock items for delivery.
• Drive box trucks/cargo vans; load/unload, secure items and perform vehicle checks.
• Attend scheduled shifts with minimal unplanned absences and adhere to SOPs.

Job purpose:

Warehouse Associates/Delivery Drivers are responsible for coordinating and participating in the receipt, storage, loading, unloading, and inventory of our HVAC/R products and equipment. This position also ensure proper orders and transport items are safely delivered to our customers.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Attendance and able to work all scheduled shifts with occasional unplanned absences only
• Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and adheres to quality guidelines
• Complete mandatory in service and online training in our Learning Management System
• Enhance the Meier Supply work environment and culture with strict adherence to modeling our core values
• Other duties may be assigned depending on business needs at the Distribution Center

• WAREHOUSE SPECIFIC:
• Maintains and cleans warehouse facility to ensure it is orderly, clean, and safe condition.
• Prepares orders by pulling from stock to meet delivery requirements.
• Receives stock and non-stock items taking care to ensure specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct while inspecting items for damage.
• Participates in physical inventories to verify stock and identify losses.
• Loads delivery vehicles ensuring that all items and supplies are properly secured.
• Unloads items for the purpose of distributing shipment to assigned site locations and/or individuals.

• DRIVER SPECIFIC:
• Drives box trucks and cargo vans for the purpose of transporting orders and materials to designated sites.
• Loads delivery vehicles for the purpose of ensuring that all items and supplies are properly secured.
• Maintains vehicles (e.g. checking fluid levels, fueling, cleaning, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring safe operation of vehicle.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Valid drivers license with clear DMV record
• Ability to obtain DOT medical card within 90 days of employment
• 1 or more years of previous delivery driving or warehouse experience

Working conditions:

Warehouses can be noisy and may be exposed to varying temperatures, depending on the climate and the nature of the goods stored.

Physical requirements:

This is a physically demanding job. Warehouse and driving work involves lifting, carrying, and moving heavy objects, as well as standing, walking, and bending for extended periods on a daily basis. Must be able to work on your feet for the duration of the day and lift, pull, push and carry at least 50lbs.
