Job summary

Lansing Building Products is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations in Portland, ME. The role involves greeting customers, picking tickets, loading and unloading trucks, and using RF scanners and the TWL Warehouse Management System to move and track products.

Successful candidates will be able to lift up to 70 pounds, work well in a team, and provide strong customer service. This is a full-time on-site position with opportunities for forklift experience and growth

Qualifications

• Experience in warehousing or material handling preferred.
• Ability to lift and move up to 70+ lbs.
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Comfort working under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive, energetic attitude expected.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, pick tickets, and load/unload trucks.
• Move, track, and manage products using RF scanners and TWL WMS.
• Verify accuracy of orders picked and shipments received.
• Maintain clean and orderly warehouse operations.
• Operate safely to load/unload up to 70 lb materials.
• Support fellow associates and customers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Live our mission statement centered on our values of respect, service, and excellence
• Greet customers, pick tickets, and load/unload customer and company trucks
• Utilize handheld RF scanners to move, track, and manage products through our Warehouse Management System (TWL)
• Verify accuracy of orders picked and shipments received
• Lift and move boxes of building materials weighing up to 70 pounds
• Keep warehouse clean and orderly
  
  

Qualifications

• Prior material-handling or warehouse experience (preferred)
• High integrity and high energy
• Experience in building products as well as previous warehouse experience is strongly desired
• Ability to work in a team and/or one-on-one with our customers
• Ability and willingness to lift boxes and building materials weighing as much as 70+ lbs
• Strong customer service skills
• Experience with a forklift is a plus
• Ability to work successfully under the pressure of deadlines and to accept new ways of doing business
• Strong, positive attitude
  
  

A Warehouse Associate's day usually begins around 7:00 AM -- sometimes earlier -- and ends at approximately 4:30 PM -- Monday through Friday, generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location)
