Job Title: Warehouse Associate/CDL DriverDepartment: Procurement/WarehouseShift: Day ShiftLocation: Statham, GeorgiaDate Approved: January 2026Remote Work Eligible: NoDescriptionThe role of Warehouse Associate/CDL Driver is a regular, full-time, hourly, non-exempt position responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations and safely operating commercial vehicles to transport materials, equipment and supplies. This role requires both hands-on warehouse work and safe driving practices to ensure timely support for field crews, projects, and vendors. This position is based out of the Statham, Georgia office and reports directly to the Warehouse and Inventory Control Manager.This position is regularly scheduled to work Monday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. As a condition of employment, this position may be required to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as operational and business needs require. The employee must also be able to satisfy applicable DOT English proficiency requirements.ResponsibilitiesOrder Fulfillment:Responsible for the safe, accurate and careful handling of all materials and finished goods while performing order fulfillment.Pick, verify, and stage orders by quantity, item, and job number.Verify item numbers, quantities, and descriptions to ensure order accuracy.Maintain accurate inventory counts and report shortages or damaged materials.Accurately update designated ERP or other software systems as orders are staged and loaded.Warehouse Operations:Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and equipment.Assists with conducting weekly physical inventories for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses.Under the direction of management, responsible for organizing finished goods in the warehouse in an organized and secure manner.Load and unload materials using both material-handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) and powered industrial trucks.Keep warehouse, yard, and break room clean and organized.Assist with general warehouse duties to support daily operations.Driving & Logistics:Operate CDL Class A vehicles to perform load runs, material deliveries, and equipment transport.Pick up and deliver materials, tools, and equipment from vendors, job sites, and yards.Secure and inspect loads to ensure safe transport.Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs. Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles.Maintain required driving logs and comply with DOT regulations.Represent the Company professionally while on the road and at job sites.Perform other duties as assigned.Position RequirementsFormal Education & Certification:Completion of a High School Diploma or attainment of a General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D).Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) license with no restrictions and a clean driving record.As a condition of employment, must be able to pass DOT English proficiency exam.Knowledge & Experience:1-2 years’ experience in warehouse operations including pulling & staging orders for delivery.Experience with safely operating Class A vehicles and delivering to job sites in & around metropolitan areas with heavy traffic.Qualifications & Characteristics:Ability to pass both pre-hire and ongoing DOT physical & drug screenings.Applicants must be able to wear personal protective equipment (“PPE”).Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 pounds without an accommodation.Ability to climb in and out of delivery vehicles & safely operate for up to a 12-hour shift.Ability to stand, walk, and work in warehouse, yard and outdoors job-sites for up to a 12-hour shift.Ability to safely operate Company trucks and fleet vehicles for extended periods, including driving for two to three hours at a time, as operational needs require.Work Environment:Able to work in a warehouse, material yard and outdoor job-site environments under varied weather conditions that include humidity & seasonal temperature changes.Equal Employment Opportunity: Cable-East, Inc.
