Job summary

Sonepar USA Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate Back-up Driver to support daily routing in Mission, TX. This role covers loading, unloading, and delivery tasks with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include ensuring on‑time deliveries, accurate load counts, and proper documentation while maintaining vehicle and equipment. A valid license and DOT readiness are required, plus basic warehouse skills.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license meeting Crawford requirements.
• Ability to obtain and pass a DOT physical.
• Six months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Transport and delivery of goods in a timely manner.
• Pick material for orders, load material, and manifest ship tickets.
• Properly and safely secure loads and assure loads are within vehicle weight limits.
• Verify count and condition of freight.
• Make reports of overages, shortages and damages as needed.
• Prepare receipts for load pickup or delivery.
• Collect payments for goods delivered and for delivery charges.
• Maintain telephone or radio contact with manager to receive delivery instructions.
• Fuel truck and gather or restock any material needed to perform daily duties and tasks at the end of each day or shift.
• When there are no deliveries to be made, perform warehouse duties.
• Clean and maintain work areas.
• Responsible for quality control; no damaged product is sent out or accepted in.
• Adhere to all processes.

Location: Mission, TX

Vehicle Operation

• Operates company vehicle in a safe manner and compliant with State and Federal DOT standards and regulations.
• Makes report of any vehicle problems and defects.
• Operates MHE safely and efficiently as required.
• Reports vehicle accident or incident immediately to management.
• Maintains a truck log according to State and Federal regulations.
• Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, water, and always maintains a clean vehicle.
• Performs emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, tire chains and spark plugs.

Environment

• Long and varied hours required occasionally.
• Ability to work mandatory physical inventory.
• Ability to work in extreme hot or cold environment.
• Ability to work in dusty conditions.
