Warehouse Associate/Driver
NIC Partners is looking for a Warehouse Associate/Driver to join our warehouse operations team. The role involves loading, unloading, delivering, and picking up materials/equipment and packages, maintaining accurate records and ensuring safety.
Essential Job Functions
- Know the location of material/equipment in the warehouse.
- Ensure warehouse is clean and organized; maintain clear aisles and walkways.
- Deliver materials to projects as needed.
- Create transmittals for inventory deliveries.
- Load trucks accurately and safely for material/equipment deliveries.
- Unload equipment at customer location or project site.
- Obtain the appropriate transmittal sign‑off.
- Drive company vehicle for material/equipment deliveries or pick‑ups, obey traffic laws and safety procedures; maintain appropriate licensing and driving record.
- Ensure company vehicles and equipment remain clean, tidy, and in good working condition.
- Retrieve material from the warehouse and other locations.
- Operate warehouse equipment and vehicles, including trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks.
- Backup to Warehouse Associate
- Inspect shipments, report shortages or defects.
- Check in and put away material, verifying quantities and quality.
- Package and ship materials to projects.
- Assist in periodic physical inventory audits.
- Always conduct oneself professionally and ethically; treat internal and external customers and associates with courtesy and respect.
- Perform all duties safely, following safe lifting practices; inform manager of hazardous conditions.
- Participate in ongoing education and training as directed or desired.
- Perform other responsibilities as directed.
Experience / Education
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 1‑2 years of warehousing, receiving, inventory control, material management experience.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Possession of or ability to obtain a valid California driver’s license.
- Working knowledge of warehouse logistics, inventory accountability, asset control, shipping, and receiving management.
- Forklift certification and/or ability to complete forklift training and operate machinery safely.
Pay Range: $22‑$24 per hour.
