Job summary

apturagroup is seeking a Warehouse Associate to handle receiving, off-loading, and inventory control in our Urbana, IL facility. You will verify counts against purchase orders, sort materials, and ensure proper placement.

The role includes staging for installation or delivery and assisting customers with pickups. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, strong time management and customer service skills, and the ability to lift heavy items.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to adhere to routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
• Strong time management and customer service skills.
• Ability to walk, drive, and lift and carry heavy items throughout the day.
• Attention to detail.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs and up to more than 75 lbs with assistance.
• Prior experience driving a box truck in shipping/receiving/delivery environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Warehouse Associate is responsible and accountable for:

• Receiving and Off-loading materials.
• Verifying counts to purchase orders.
• Sorting stock materials from job materials.
• Checking shipments for damage, noting appropriate paperwork.
• Ensure all material is placed in its appropriate areas.
• Staging of material for installation, shipment, or customer pick up.
• Assist internal and external customers with pickup and loading.
• Utilizing company specific software, to maintain accurate inventory.
• Utilize hand tools, mechanical equipment, and motorized equipment in safe and effective manner.
• Make deliveries as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Assist with special projects and deliveries as assigned.
