Sdmsconnect is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our team. You will oversee safe warehouse operations, handle incoming/outgoing shipments, and maintain accurate counts of inventory. The role emphasizes inventory management, order fulfillment, and customer service quality.

Ideal candidates bring experience in warehousing, shipping, and basic purchasing, plus proficiency with Excel and Word. A valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • 1–3 years of experience in warehousing, shipping, or receiving.
  • Understanding of inventory management is desirable.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
  • Adherence to safety guidelines and successful background/drug checks.

Responsibilities

  • Receive shipments and verify quantities against shipping documents.
  • Record shipment information accurately in the company system.
  • Report shipment discrepancies to the Customer Service Manager.
  • Fill orders from shelf inventory and safely package materials for shipping.
  • Use third-party logistics software to generate shipments.
  • Operate forklift, pallet jack, and hand carts to move materials safely.
  • Store materials in proper warehouse locations.
  • Perform inventory counts and investigate discrepancies with other departments.

Job description

We are looking for someone to join our team as a Warehouse Associate. In this role, you will ensure a safe working environment, manage outgoing and incoming shipments, and maintain accurate cycle counts and material handling. Our ideal candidate has some knowledge of inventory management, shipping, and handling and experience in customer service and purchasing. Responsibilities
  • Receive shipments, and verify correct quantities to shipping documents
  • Accurately record shipment information in the company system
  • Report shipment discrepancies and issues to the Customer Service Manager
  • Accurately fill orders using shelf inventory and safely package materials for shipping
  • Utilize third-party logistics software to generate shipments
  • Safely operate a forklift, pallet jack, and hand carts to move materials
  • Appropriately store materials in the correct warehouse locations
  • Perform inventory counts, identify, and record discrepanciesWork with internal departments to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • 1-3 years of experience in warehousing, shipping, or receiving
  • Understanding inventory management is desirable
  • Able to work with little to no supervision to complete assigned tasks
  • Good written and oral communication skills and excellent organizational skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods
  • Comply with all safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
  • Undergo a background check in accordance with local laws and regulations and successfully pass a drug screening
