Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate supports warehouse operations, including receiving freight, checking for damages or shortages, distributing materials, filling orders, and maintaining inventory accuracy. The role involves coordinating deliveries, operating equipment safely, and supporting overall warehouse functions.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Receive incoming freight and check for damages or shortages.
• Distribute material to proper stock locations.
• Fill special orders and backorders upon receipt.
• Coordinate with departments, carriers, and vendors regarding discrepancies.
• Check and pack materials for delivery.
• Understand truck routes and coordinate deliveries.
• Maintain shipping equipment and work area safety and cleanliness.
• Ensure inventory locations are accurate and shelves are orderly.
• Label and inventory managed materials properly.
• Maintain vehicle condition and logs, and operate equipment safely.

Non-essential Functions

• Assist customer service areas with order entry, returns, and technical support.
• Deliver materials to customer sites and assist with loading/unloading trucks.
• Report maintenance, repair, or security concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Preferred two years of work experience, especially in warehouse/distribution and forklift operation.
• Must meet driving criteria if applicable: at least 21 years old, valid driver's license, and possibly a medical certification.
• Knowledge of Windows, Internet, email, and SAP is a plus.
