Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate supports warehouse operations by receiving incoming freight, checking for damages or shortages, distributing materials to proper locations, and filling orders. The role involves following up on discrepancies, maintaining inventory, and supporting delivery processes.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Receive and inspect incoming freight for damages or shortages.
• Distribute materials to correct stock locations.
• Filling special orders and backorders upon receipt.
• Follow up on discrepancies with departments, carriers, and vendors.
• Check and pack materials for delivery.
• Coordinate deliveries with trucks and carriers.
• Maintain shipping equipment and work area safety.
• Keep inventory locations organized and accurate.
• Manage labeling and inventory of batch-managed materials.
• Ensure delivery vehicles are maintained and logs are kept.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and in compliance with safety regulations.

Non-essential Functions

• Assist customer service areas with order processing and returns.
• Deliver materials to customer sites as needed.
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks.
• Report maintenance or security issues.
• Support other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Preferred two years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with warehouse distribution, forklift operation, and electrical products is a plus.
• Must meet driving criteria if applicable, including age and license requirements.
• Knowledge of Windows, Internet, email, and SAP is advantageous.
