Warehouse Associate Position Summary

Kane's Furniture is seeking a motivated and dependable Warehouse Associate to join our team in a fast‑paced furniture distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for key warehouse functions, including shipping, receiving, quality assurance, and general warehouse operations, while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Applicants should be comfortable performing physical warehouse work including lifting furniture and loading or unloading delivery trucks as part of the daily workflow.

Schedule / Shift: 2nd Shift – Tuesday – Saturday, 12:00 pm – 8:30 pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Move merchandise throughout the warehouse, transporting product between receiving, storage, staging, and shipping areas.
• Load and unload delivery trucks and trailers safely and efficiently.
• Lift, carry, and position furniture and warehouse merchandise for storage and delivery preparation.
• Pick, pack, and stage customer orders for shipment and delivery routes.
• Receive incoming shipments, count and verify items, and record inventory as required.
• Inspect merchandise for damage or defects and report discrepancies.
• Package, label, and tag merchandise before storage or shipment.
• Prepare outgoing shipments and confirm orders are accurate and complete.
• Complete shipping documentation and delivery manifests.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous warehouse or distribution center experience is a plus, especially in furniture or heavy goods handling.
• Ability to regularly lift and maneuver furniture and materials weighing 150+ pounds, with or without assistance.
• Capable of standing, walking, lifting, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are a must.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.
• Employment offers are contingent on successful completion of a 7‑year criminal background check and pre‑employment drug screening.
